The Brisbane office held an Easter Bake Off on March 28th. The morning tea was filled with many home-baked goodies (and a couple of store-bought ones, too).
The Brisbane office had its first social club event on Wednesday, April 24th. The instructor visited the Brisbane office, and our team got really enthusiastic and messy making different sculptures. A lot of great memories were made.
The Brisbane office celebrated their admin professionals with a yummy morning team.
Some of our Bundaberg team members had a fantastic evening at the Bulls Masters dinner on Friday, 23rd February 2024.
On March 16th, team members and guests enjoyed a day at the Bundaberg Race Club. Attendees watched the races and looked fabulous in their race-day attire. Everyone had a great time catching up with colleagues and friends!
The Bundaberg Social Club organised an Easter raffle to raise money for this year's Ulton charity beneficiary. The raffle raised $210.00. Congratulations to Amber Mizzi and Sarah Roberts on their winnings.
On Friday, 3rd May we celebrated our wonderful Administration team across all Ulton Offices! We have 20 support team members who work in various areas of the firm, such as client services and corporate services. We recognise their hard-work and efforts to keep each office running smoothly!
On Thursday, April 11th, the Gladstone team enjoyed a team dinner at Dimitris’s Mediterranean Restaurant.
On Tuesday, February 2nd, Stacey Miers had a gorgeous little boy, Bailey. Not long after, Kiran Kaur had two beautiful boys, Luv and Kush. Welcome to the Ulton family: Bailey, Luv, and Kush. Congratulations to Stacey and Kiran on your new bundles of joy.
On Thursday, April 11th, Saba Siddiqui completed Ramadan (during which one can only eat and drink from sunset to sunrise) and celebrated Eid al-Fitr to commemorate the end of the holy month.
The Hervey Bay team participated in 86K for a Cure to raise awareness for the 86 kids diagnosed with cancer every month in Australia. For this, they had to walk, ride, swim, or run as many kilometres as they could during March. They clocked 450km and raised a whopping $3,097 as a team. Congratulations on your massive achievement.
Congratulations to Renee Cullen, Trish Illicic, Jason Krenske and Daryl Corpe on your recent milestone anniversary.
Renee Cullen completed five years of service with the Ulton Fraser Coast team on the 11th of February. Throughout the five years with Ulton, Renee has worn many hats as a CSA, Fuse Docs/Sign Champion, Christmas enthusiast (and that’s putting it mildly) and all-around cheerleader for the Fraser Coast Team – ‘One Team, One Dream’.
Renee is always willing to assist any team member throughout the wider team. Her can-do attitude and super speedy turnarounds are valuable assets, ensuring everything on the to-do list is achieved on any given day. Renee, thank you for all you do for the Ulton team.
Trish Illicic completed ten years of service with the Ulton Gladstone team on the 10th of February. Trish came to Gladstone from Adelaide and joined the firm in 2014. Trish then became a Partner in 2015. Trish loves building relationships with all her clients and is building a great network around the Gladstone area. A testimony to Trish’s passion towards her clients is that she had many of her Adelaide clients follow her and are still with her today. Trish, thank you for your dedication to Ulton and all your efforts over the years.
Jason Krenske completed 20 years of service with the Ulton Business Advisory team on the 16th of February. Jason’s 20 years with Ulton is his second term with the firm after returning to Ulton 20 years ago following a work trip to London for a couple of years. Working overseas was a strong learning experience for Jason, who was working mostly to develop reporting systems for local governments in the UK. We were lucky that Jason returned to Ulton and brought his acquired skill set to the firm.
Jason now heads up the Financial Insights team at Ulton, which is responsible for preparing monthly management reports, financial models, and cashflow forecasting for many of the firm’s clients. In addition, Jason and his team are responsible for a number of special project assignments, which include detailed financial analytics and financial analysis. Jason and his team continually provide innovative solutions to our client's needs by developing reporting systems and dashboards so that our clients can better understand their business performance and make appropriate management decisions. Financial Insights provides essential services to our external CFO service delivery. Congratulations Jason, on 20 years with Ulton.
On March 19th, Daryl Corpe completed 40 years of service with Ulton, which is a great achievement. It is fair to say that Ulton would not be where it is today if it were not for Daryl and the direction he has given the practice over those 40 years.
Daryl joined Ulton when the firm was called Schoch Schoch and Hancock in 1984 and became a Partner in 1986. Daryl has been instrumental in moving Ulton from a compliance-focused practice to a holistic, strategic and forward-planning business advisory firm. Daryl has over 40 years of experience in advising clients over a broad range of industry sectors, including taxation, corporate strategy, acquisitions, restructuring and financial management. Daryl has also connected with clients at advisory boards and directorship levels, including private companies, publicly listed companies, and government advisory committees. Daryl's current role is Chairman of the Partners and is in charge of Ulton's tax advisory division. Daryl's role as Chairman is to work with the partner and manager group to develop and implement an ongoing business strategy to grow the firm and provide a high level of service to its clients. Congratulations Daryl on what you have achieved over the last 40 years.
