Office humour

In a bold move to spice up the break room, the Brisbane office has officially named its kitchen appliances after famous actors. The air fryer? Fryin' Gosling. The toaster? Toast Malone. And the rice cooker? Naturally, Rice Witherspoon. It’s safe to say the kitchen’s now got more star power than the Oscars!Photo

Team bonding exercise

Kaitlyn Smith created this cracking team bonding exercise for Brisbane—the Marshmallow Challenge! The Brisbane crew had 18 minutes to build the tallest free-standing structure using spaghetti, tape, string, and a single marshmallow perched on top. It was a fun and creative way to test our problem-solving skills and teamwork. Congrats to Jodie Plasto for taking out the win!Jodie

Bundaberg Office

Puzzle madness

Over the past seven months, the Bundy crew has been steadily working away at a massive 5,000-piece puzzle during their lunch breaks — and in June, they finally popped in the last piece! Big cheers to Louise Atkinson, Stacey Harrison, Kate Napper, and everyone who chipped in along the way. Top effort, team!IMG_1487

Team Member Anniversaries

Congratulations to Jacky Elliott and Joseph Marles on your recent milestone anniversary.

Jacky Elliott

Jacky Elliott recently celebrated 10 years with the Ulton Wealth Management team on May, 25th. While her title was Projects and Compliance Officer, she had taken on nearly every role in the team—always stepping in where needed and often improving processes along the way.

Known for her sharp eye for detail, Jacky regularly reviewed documents to ensure accuracy and compliance. She managed projects, tracked progress, and conducted thorough compliance audits, supporting the team’s AFSL responsibilities with confidence and fairness.

Outside of work, Jacky was a devoted mum to Cooper and Will, enjoyed camping and barbecues with her husband Rob, and volunteered at the local footy club and within her family. At work, she also served as a First Aid Officer and Fire Warden—calm, capable, and dependable in any situation.

Her team deeply appreciated her behind-the-scenes efforts and the pride she took in representing Ulton. Congratulations, Jacky, and thank you for everything!

On 28 June, Ulton celebrated Joseph Marles’ 15-year anniversary. Joe had first joined the firm for work experience in 2009 and, after an initial setback, officially started on 28 June 2010 as a trainee accountant in the BS7 team under Cris’s management.

He completed his degree in 2011, began his CA in 2012, and was promoted to senior accountant in 2018. Over time, Joe worked closely with Mark on the Nioa group, where his dedication contributed to the client’s success.

After relocating to Brisbane in 2020, Joe remained a consistent and committed team member. In 2024, he became a client manager and took on some of Ulton’s largest and most complex clients, including the Azure and Genesis groups, collaborating regularly with Daryl, Mark and Bernie.

Joe’s efforts, leadership and loyalty over the past 15 years were deeply appreciated, and the team looked forward to many more years working together.
