Ecoman Workshops

Ulton was proud to host ECOMAN again in 2023.

The program is aimed at giving year 10 & 11 students exposure to what working in business can look like. The students are broken into teams and given the task of resurrecting a failing coffee machine manufacturing business. They are responsible for rebranding and improving the manufacturing, sales, marketing and administration processes.

Their decisions are then placed in a simulation program that shows the impact of the decisions. It also throws some curveballs into the mix.

On the last day the teams presented their results to the shareholders at the AGM. This year's shareholders included Ulton partners Mark McLean, Kylie Wright and Morgans Financial Limited Bundaberg branch manager and Ulton partner, Karl Brosnan and (now retired) business owner Norm Netterfield.
All of the teams were able to turn their businesses around and made excellent presentations to their shareholders.

Thanks to the Queensland Private Enterprise Centre for running the ECOMAN program.

Dale Carnegie leadership workshop

The Ulton leadership team engaged in a transformative two-day Dale Carnegie workshop on October 9th and 10th at the Bundaberg Life Saving Club in Bargara. Led by the skilled facilitator Anne-Marie, the workshop delved into leadership styles and their impact on Ulton's environment. Participants honed skills in building trust, fostering innovation, time management, effective delegation, and problem analysis. The workshop empowered leaders to demonstrate effective questioning and listening, align outcomes with visions, and hold others accountable for predetermined results—a comprehensive journey towards enhanced leadership within Ulton.

On Monday evening, the leadership team were treated to canapes and drinks back at Mark and Jane's house. Thanks Mark and Jane, for hosting the team again. 😀

CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Bundaberg team came together for a night filled with laughter and festive cheer. The evening kicked off with a lively dance session where our talented team learned some moves to the Barbie song. It was a fantastic opportunity to bond, let loose, and showcase our dance prowess – needless to say, we don't think anyone will be quitting their day jobs. Lol!

Of course, what's a Christmas celebration without some Karaoke? Our team members belted out their favourite tunes, turning the night into a good ol' sing-along.

The Bundaberg Services Club provided a delightful setting for our festivities, complemented by a scrumptious spread where the drinks flowed, conversations sparkled, and the holiday spirit was palpable throughout the venue.
