What comes to mind when you’re asked to think of Ulton’s services? Maybe you think of advisory and business services. Perhaps it’s forensic accounting that comes to mind first—or administration and bookkeeping.

In any case, our Wealth Concierge service probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. And there’s a good reason for that.

“It's a bit of a secret service. It’s not really something that we put out to the general public, but we have been providing this service to many of our clients for years,” says Kylie Wright.

Coming under the Ulton Wealth umbrella, the concierge service provides clients, typically busy business owners and wealthy individuals, with an additional level of support.

Much like a personal finance assistant, the concierge team relieves the administrative burden of managing complex financial affairs. With the support of our concierge service, clients can direct their time and energy on the things that demand their undivided attention.

The specific duties our concierge team takes off clients’ plates depends entirely on the individual we are providing these services to. However, the service can be defined by its two main functions.

“When you break it down, the concierge service usually has two main parts. The first part is pulling together financial information on behalf of the client and delivering it to external parties in a way that they can understand,” Kylie explains.

“The second part is acting as the client’s personal broker for all different types of services,” she continues.

“If one of our clients is using a buyer’s agent, we might be liaising with that agent on their behalf: advising the agent on the type of property the client wants to purchase, what they’re willing to spend—that kind of thing.”

“In all cases, it’s about making life easier for the client,” says Kylie.

Reflecting on the conception of this service, Kylie says that it was not a lighting bolt idea that struck in a moment of inspiration, but rather a natural progression.

“Over the years, we’ve built up a lot of corporate knowledge across a whole range of arenas. We have a lot of experience in dealing with buyers agents, general insurance brokers, mortgage brokers, banks, solicitors, internal and external accountants and so on,” she says.

“We have trusted relationships with professionals from a range of different industries. And because our clients treat us as their trusted sounding board, we’ll often be the first people they call when they are looking for a tried and trusted referral,” says Kylie.

Our clients echo this sentiment. One client even refers to the concierge service as ‘the bat phone’. Whenever they are conducting business or intending on conducting business with another professional services provider, they can simply get in touch with us and we can provide them with whatever they need.

“We’ve come to recognise that this isn’t a service that many other advisors provide their clients with,” says Kylie.

As Kylie aptly notes, this is another distinctive offering that sets us apart from the rest. A hidden gem—it’s another way we support our clients to run happy, successful lives and businesses.
